CPT 05: DALAT - TUYEN LAM LAKE - FAIRY ROCK - MOUNT ELEPHANT

- Situated 16km south of DaLat, in a 2,000 ha primary forest, Mount Elephant (1,740m) area, with age old legends, deeply rooted in K'ho culture, has now developed into an eco-tourist site with a close range of services for those who want "a return to the nature".

- You can enjoy elephant ridings through immense and poetical stretch of pine forest, trekking over wooded areas and across streams, climbing, sport hunting: camping fire sessions with gongs performances by aborigines, discovering Chil cultural life and customs in Da Ra Hoa village: spending nights in houses on stilts, in birdcage-shaped dwellings hanging on trees.

Day 1: Meet guests at the hotel. Drive to Tuyen Lam lake, then take a boat cruise along the lake to the Fairy Rock, a picnic recreational area. There are some activities for the day including hiking up the hill, fishing, rowing small wooden boats, sightseeing the beautiful scenery of Tuyen Lam Lake. Lunch with barbecue meat. After lunch, a 5 km elephant ride to the camp of Mount Elephant. On the way visit to the small ethnic village of Da ra Hoa. Free time to explore the beauty natural jungles around. After dinner, we set up a bonfire to taste the regional specialties: drinking "Can" wine with roasted meat. Optionally, hunting at night is available. Overnight in a bungalow.

Guests gain a true experience of jungle living with an evening barbecue of jungle game, accompanied by the local tipple, "can" wine.

Day 2: Enjoy the morning fresh air during your breakfast. Explore the top of Mount Elephant before return to Dalat.

The facilities of the camp include:
* 6 houses-on-stilts, plus 3 bird trap-shaped dwellings hanging in the trees. All are equipped with clean mattresses & blankets.
* 2 underground spring baths with hot water.
* A restaurant serving simply prepared local food.
* Accommodates a maximum of 20 pax.
* Tents and air-beds are available during summer time.

Meals included: B = breakfast; L = lunch; D = dinner
